Photo of Epidemiologic field investigators photographed during a 1975 Marburg virus investigation in Wankie, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).

This team set up several of these trapping nets during a massive Marburg virus investigation throughout Rhodesia. Several species trapped at this location were preserved in dry ice for virus isolation. However, later testing showed no signs of the virus.

This image was created in 1975 and provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/Dr. J. Lyle Conrad.
