Black and white photograph of a man seated in the doorway under the circular vestibule hole in the Treasury (Khasneh) at Wadi Musa, Petra, Jordan, between 1900 and 1920. This amazing feature rests above a doorway with cornice, lintel and supporting pilasters and leads to a large chamber and rooms. It is thought that maybe this hole was used for the people that carved out the inside. They would crawl in and out of it. Here you can also see some steps on the facade of the Treasury in the lower right corner.
