Just before low tide on Cromer beach the sea leaves pools of water behind that do not last for very long. The reflections when the light is right and there are cloud formations in the scene can be spectacular. As in this scene, when the wind is in the east during winter it often brings in large billowing shower clouds which make the scene more dramatic.The image was taken from the beach to include the semi silhouette of the pier.
