Stock Photo Description:
Sand, pebbles and seaweed on the beach at Lyme Regis, Dorset, England, which is a popular vatation resort on the south coast of England. Lyme Regis has been used as a setting by many authors, including Jane Austen, and is also the setting for the film "The French Leuitenant’s Woman". It is a favourite haunt for fossil hunters, because fossils are washed up by the tide and eroded from the cliffs which back the beach. Photographed 10 June 2004.
