High quality royalty-free animal stock photo of one Pine Barrens Tree Frog (Hyla andersonii), a New World tree frog with a breen body, brown stripe and yellow trim, perched on green leaves, showing the spottage on its under leg. These small frogs are usually only abote 1-2 inches long and it is a smaller species of tree frogs. Most are mainly green, with wide dark stripes, sometimes with spotted orange-gold markings on their legs, and usually have large toe pads. They usually live in brushy areas, commonly near peat bogs and shallow ponds and inhabit areas that are carpeted with thick mosses. Adults normally reside close to water sources. These little creatures are tolerant of low pH levels, unlike most other frogs, and often lay eggs in shallow, acidic ponds. The ideal pH level for their eggs is between 3.8 and 5.9.
