For 25 years, in honour of its maritime tradition, Liverpool has organised the annual Mersey River Festival. It features a parade of tall ships, displays, demonstrations, street entertainers, music and many other things associated with the River Mersey.Prince William is a two masted brig owned by the Tall Ships Youth Trust in Britain. The part finished hull was built in Germany and building completed by Appledore Shipbuilders, in Devon, in 1997. She is seen here, with the foremast yards manned, in the River Mersey.
