Stock photography image of a Bed Isolator, produced by Vickers Medical Ltd., was on display in 1977 at the CDC.Isolation units like this one were used at Brooks Air Force Base in Houston, Texas. These units are aircraft transportable, and isolate a patient placed inside from the external environment. Predecessor isolator units to this were used in the 1976 Zaire Ebola outbreak to assist in the containment of the virus. This image was provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
