Can popping pimples scar my skin?
Some say popping a pimple can scar your skin, others say it cant scar your skin. I think that gently squeezing pimples that are at the surface of your skin and white will not lead to scarring. However, trying to squeeze and pop a pimple that is still below the surface may lead to scaring.

How do you pop a pimple?
Hold a warm or hot, wet wash-cloth to against your skin for a few minutes to help bring the pimple to a head. If your pimple appears to be superficial, you can poke and prick the head with a steril needle. Otherwise, just dry the skin and apply a benzoyl peroxide product treatment.

Squeezing your pimple is the worst thing you can do. If you squeeze the pimple and puss or blood comes to the surface, this may deepen the infection into the skin.

If the pimple is deep and painful, I recommend you to see a dermatologist. Tell him or her it's an emergency. He or she can inject the pimple with cortisone, which should eliminate the swelling and redness within a few hours. You would probably have to be on some hot date to go through that much trouble, though.
