Description: Preparing a field for growing carrots is a lot more labour intensive than a lot of other crops. The red machine in the image goes in first and removes all stones from the planting area and drops them into channels away from where the seed will be sown. The yellow machine then goes along and prepares the furrows ready for seeding. The stones are removed so that the carrots can grow long and straight without any obstruction that might cause them to bend and spoil the supermarkets display.
