Description: Cley windmill which is off to the right in this image sits about one mile inland from the sea among the marshes with small channels that are tidal. Cley marshes are famous and the place that twitchers or bird watchers head for when in Norfolk. Situated up on the far north Norfolk coast Cley plays a major part not only for wintering homes but as a stop off point from the cold arctic migration routes. If there is a place that will play temporary host to tired birds then Cley is it. Many small craft are anchored around the small inlets among the reeds.
