This CDC laboratorian is placing the previously created mosquito suspension into a centrifuge during an arbovirus study.

The centrifugation of the mosquito suspension will separate the suspended particles into strata based on particulate weight. Tests may then be carried out on each individual layer in the tube once it is extracted from the centrifuge.
