This photo shows a Red Cross truck fueling up before distributing food to the refugee relief camps during the Nigerian-Biafran war.

The CDC was asked in 1967 to assist the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in disease control and death prevention during the Nigerian-Biafran war. A large number of relief camps were established for nutrition assessment and feeding operations for the local villagers around the war zone.
